Practice being aware of God’s presence all the time

Can I remind you of a few well-known verses in the Bible that remind us as believers that we can be aware of the Lord’s presence in and with us 24/7?

Here are a few of these verses:

1 Cor. 10:31 – “Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”

Gal. 5:16 – “What I mean is this: Keep walking by the Spirit, and you will never fulfill the desires of your sinful nature.”

Then there is Jesus’ well-known image of our relationship with Him, speaking of Himself as the Vine and calling us the branches of the vine in John 15.

John 15 – “I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: but every branch that beareth fruit he pruneth, that it may bring forth more fruit. You are already pruned by the word that I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. A branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine: neither can ye, except ye abide in me.”

“I am the vine, ye the branches. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If any man abide not in me, he is cast out as a branch, and is withered. Men gather such branches and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done unto you. In this is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit, and be my disciples.”

Phil. 4:4 – “Rejoice in the Lord always! Again, I say, rejoice!”

Phil. 4:6-8 – “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if there is any virtue or praiseworthy thing, think about these things.”

1Thess. 5:16-24 – “Rejoice always. Pray constantly. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus. Do not resist the Holy Spirit. Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast to what is good and avoid what is evil. May the God of peace himself make you completely devoted to him, and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he is faithful who calls you.”

Meditate on these verses and take some time each day to remind yourself that the Living God of the Bible is in and with you. Allow this to begin to change your life.
