God’s peace, His “shalom”, happens in your life when we choose to believe and obey Him.

Do you really believe what the Lord says and promises to you in His Word?

If you and I truly believe that the God we have come to know in Jesus Christ truly speaks to us through His Word, the Bible, we will respond differently, and we will have to respond differently!

Let us now take what the Lord has said and promised us more than 14 times recently.

Yes, He has said and promised us the following so many times and in so many ways: Peace to you! My SHALOM is also there for you, My child, in all its different forms and shades!

I have chosen to grasp this word for myself and my loved ones in faith.

Let me use a few passages of Scripture that I, therefore, grasp for myself and my people every day, as examples.

Think of the Lord’s word to each of us there in 2 Cor. 12:9.

“But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. “

Just think about how a choice to believe this word can change your whole life!

Just think what peace it will bring into your life!

A next verse that I grasp because God promises “shalom” to us is 2 Cor. 9:8, in which the Lord promises you the following:

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work.”

How will this verse not change your life and bring peace if you choose to truly grasp it in faith as the word of the living Lord, who cannot lie, and begin to live it out obediently!

One of the other verses that I grasp and obey every day in faith is Phil. 4:6 and 7.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”

Do you hear? A peace that you cannot explain will literally begin to protect you, where you and I are sometimes so fragile and vulnerable!

One of my favourite psalms is Psalm 23, which is in truth nothing more than a remarkable description of this SHALOM or peace that happens in us in every part of our lives when we begin to grasp and obey God’s Word in faith.

Please go read it again!

And just memorize it so that you can recite it out loud to yourself early every morning so that every part of you can hear it.

Then choose to believe it for yourself and your loved ones for that day too! Let it be the spiritual energy and fuel for that day and everything you do during the day!
